Swedish-born reinswoman Sofia Arvidsson only needed two drives to bring up her first Tabcorp Park Melton winning double on Friday night.
The 26-year-old driver guided Matthew Craven-trained pair Aldebaran Tess and Master Moonlite home with her only two engagements for the night.
āIām so happy, Iām so thrilled,ā she said on TrotsVision after winning aboard exciting four-year-old trotter Aldebaran Tess in the 2240m Schweppes Trot.
āI knew she could win if she had luck but sitting four on the pegs, I didnāt expect her to run past them like that.ā
Arvidsson spruiked a big future for the exciting daughter of super sire Muscle Hill, who has now won five of her 12 starts.
āSheās a really nice horse this one. She just needs to learn to relax in her races now, which she does when sheās sitting on a helmet. She just needs to learn to race in different scenarios.ā
Arvidsson completed her double aboard Master Moonlite in Race 8, the six-year-old pacer by another super sire in Art Major defeating Joe Pace-trained stablemates Supreme Dominator and Wheres Seggy.
A somewhat unique story, Arvidsson had no prior background in harness racing when she travelled to Australia in her early 20s.
And in just her second season driving she hasnāt taken long to make her mark on the Victorian harness scene, edging close to the 50-win milestone with 46 wins to date after Friday night.
