Down Under winners with Carter Dalgety

Down Under harness racing mare wins twice within the week.

Talented and highly proven down under mare Soho Burning Love A had a fantastic week on the race track this week, lining up in two races and winning them both, notably at two different tracks, with two different drivers.

A week of twos. Trained by Jim King Jr who is well renowned for his success with down under race mares, Soho Burning Love A started on Monday at her home track of Harrington Raceway in Delaware. Driven by Victor Kirby, she was urged out of starting gate 3 and found an early lead, then remained there for the rest of the journey. The daughter of Auckland Reactor then put a kick on her rivals in the $14,800 pace and jogged home easily in 1:52.3. 

The mare then headed down the road to Philadelphia for a race at Harrah’s Chester. Top reinsmen Tim Tetrick jumped in the bike for the $13,000 Pace. Again she was urged out of gate 4 to find the early lead but then handed over to take a trail at the quarter for the remainder of the race. Hitting the half (800m) in a hot 54.2 the 7yo mare was travelling hard on a helmet. Just before the stretch she absolutely exploded out from her pocket and showed a sizzling turn of put to put on a demolition job of rivals. Cruising past the post in a nice 1:50.1.
