DAYTON, OH – Harness racing driver Jason Brewer scored his 4,000th lifetime victory on Monday (Sept. 27) at Hollywood Dayton Raceway. The 43-year-old reinsman went start to finish in front with the trotter Delilah Seelster in the tenth race, topping Mission Voyage (Brady Galliers) by a head. Big Bad Caviar (Tyler Smith) crossed the line in third.
Brewer started his driving career in earnest in 1996, notching 46 wins in his first full season. He scored over 100 wins for s6 straight years from 2003 to 2018 with a high water mark of 505 triumphs in 2007.
Horses guided by Jason earned over a million dollars in 15 straight years, topped by a pair of $3 million plus campaigns in 2007 and 2008. The son of trainer Jeff Brewer and his wife Lynda has amassed near $34 million in earnings for the horses he has driven.
The newest member of the 4,000 Wins Club is also the trainer of Delilah Seelster, a five-year-old mare owned by the First Up Racing Stable. With the victory she now sports 11 career wins and just over $130,000 in earnings.
