22 February 2022

On North American tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.

Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 21st February)

NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE

American History is a great horse when at his peak and he showed that again at The Meadowlands on Saturday, when, in trying conditions, he prevailed in their $25,000 high-end conditioned pace. The 1.50.3 proving too much for his race rivals. Watch as the former Breeders Crown Champion scores again.

AUSTRALIAN FEATURE

The Chariots Of Fire is truly one of the great Australian pacing features. Amanda Rando covered the running of the 2022 edition last week with Better Eclipse producing an astonishing sprint to score in a fabulous 1.47.6. The time is a record-setting mark for a son of Bettorthancheddar Watch as the sparks fly!

NEW ZEALAND FEATURE

The Gore Summer Cup was run in the deep south of New Zealand on Sunday. The long distance standing-start making sure that it was a case of survival of the fittest. In the end it was Tairlow Toll who prevailed in the run to the line. Watch as the grass track feature is decided.

We’ll be back for more Race replays of the week this time next week.
