Talented Warrawee Needy mare Im So Needy notched her fourth win on end and hoisted a new lifetime mark of 1:54.1 when she won harness racing’s Group 3 $30,000 Go Girlfriend Final at Menangle on Saturday night (March 19).
After working to the front at the end of the first quarter, Im So Needy was steadied in the middle stages before ripping home in 26.3 seconds to leave her rivals struggling in her wake.
It was fifth success from nine starts this season.
Warrawee Needy, a former world champion now standing at Yirribee Pacing Stud, also sired a quartet of winners in North America this week. They included Need Ur Opinion (1:51.4, Rosecroft Raceway), Needless To Say (1:53.6, Pocono Downs), Heresthatmanagain (1:55.6, Woodbine Mohawk Park) and Ajknight (1:58.4, Flamboro Downs).
