Australian pacer Majestic Cruiser is not done with New Zealand harness racing just yet.
After coming close to causing a massive upset in the inaugural running of The Race at Cambridge Raceway last Thursday, the son of Art Major has stayed across the ditch while trainer Jason Grimson made his return back to Sydney on the weekend.
āMajestic Cruiser will stay in New Zealand for a few more races,ā said Grimson.
āThereās two $100,000 races the next two weeks and then the Auckland Cup.
āHeās staying with Jeremy Young and Iāll fly back over there soon.ā
Majestic Cruiser joined Grimsonās stable in July last year and has won seven races under his care and has raced consistently at the top level.
In his 19 starts with Grimson, the seven-year-old gelding has raced in the Victoria Cup, the Inter Dominion and Miracle Mile series.
Last Thursday he finished a neck behind Self Assured in the $900,000 The Race.
