Flamboro Downs hosted the second harness racing card of its fall/winter meet on Tuesday (Sep. 5), highlighted by two Prospect Series divisions.
Radical Legacy (Muscle Mass) made it back-to-back Prospect Series wins to start her career as she took leg 5A for two-year-old female pacers. The filly charged out from post eight, took command, and re-fired to strike the front again nearing three-quarters. She then extended her margin to two-and-three-quarters to score in 1:58.2. Sandoon (Bruce Richardson) chased her home for second, and The Blondy (Travis Henry) was eight lengths back in third.
RADICAL LEGACY REPLAY
Radical Legacy debuted with a win on Aug. 13 and is unbeaten in two starts. Gregg McNair trains the two-year-old for Ross Holmes of London.
Expedition Pass (Alarm Detector, Lormer McClure) fought off multiple challengers from the front in leg 4B for freshman trotting colts and geldings to prevail in 2:01.4. Teasin (Dean Wall) pressured the winner in the third panel but faded in the stretch, when Livingitlarge (Lorne House) surged and fell a head short. Dontalkaboutbruno (Brett MacDonald) attacked at the pylons but finished third.
EXPEDITION PASS REPLAY
Expedition Pass has made all four of his starts in the Prospect Series. He has won two and earned $10,124 for McClure, who owns and trains the colt.
The race for the driversā and trainersā titles continued competitively ā 10 different reinsmen and conditioners won a race on the card.
Flamboro Downs will resume racing on Thursday, Sep. 7 at 6:35 p.m. EDT.
