Off at 5/1 odds Gibus defeated 13/1 Girl de Bassiere (8f Ready Cash) with Paul Philippe Ploquin driving for Cyril Chenu the trainer. Estaban Jiel (10g Coktail Jet) was third at 43/1 for Guillaume Martin and trainer J.L. Dersoir. Three of the top seven finishers are sired by Coktail Jet, sire of Bourgogne winner Gu d’Heripre.
In the Prix de Croissanville (purse 62,000€, 2700 meters, 10 starters four-year old males) the 6.9/1 odds Khal’s Fella (4m Ready Cash) was up to win in the final stride timed in 1.15.6kr. Franck Nivard drove this Fabrice Souloy trainee for owner Giovanni Iera as the winner earned his fourth career win in nine starts for earnings of 94,045€. The 1.6/1 favorite Keenan de Joudes (4m Ready Cash) was second for J.Ph. Monclin and Ecurie Olivier Morel. Keno Petteviniere (4g Enino du Pommereux) was third at 10/1 for Franck Ouvrie and trainer Sylvain Roger.
This weekend at Vincennes will have more groupe level races on stage as the Cornulier and Amerique weekends fast approach.
