Thirteen-Year-Old JL Cruze (Crazed) proved, you’re never too old to compete and upset a field of quality conditioned harness racing trotters at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Feb. 6).
I Get It left alertly and forced JLCruze and Certify to surrender early. I Get It set fractions of 27.3 to quarter and the half was reached in 57 flat (29.2). Last Glow raced a coverless 1st over trip up the backstretch. The 6/5 betting favorite, That Old Bar Stool, shadowed 2nd over in perfect striking position. JL Cruze watched all the action from the pocket.
I Get It continued on the lead to the three quarters in 1:25.4 (28.4) Last Glow’s charge wilted late and That Ole Bar Stool maneuvered 3 wide at the top of the stretch.
Jl Cruze surged late, out of the pocket, to win in 1:54.4 by one and a quarter lengths. He paid $12.40 for the win.
JL CRUZE REPLAY
