Harness racing driver Aaron Byron had a grand slam at Tioga Downs on Saturday (September 7).
Byron finished first with Spittin Chicklets, Beantown Babe, Reconcile, and Red Dirt Flash.
Sweet Cheyenne (Huntsville) (Tyler Miller) captures featured $11,000 fillies & maresā pace.
No Cigar Tony (Mike Merton) first to the quarter in :27.4.Ā April Ava (Markus Miller) took the lead with a circuit to go and was first to the half in :57.4.Ā Jenden Strike A (Ron Cushing) came first-up to challenge heading down the backstretch.Ā April Ava led to three quarters in 1:25.0.
As they reached the stretch Sweet Cheyenne ($2.70) came flying three-wide and got on by to win in 1:53.1.Ā April Ava had to settle for second. Jenden Strike A finished third.
Sweet Cheyenne is a 4-year-old mare by Huntsville.Ā She is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher.Ā It was her fourth win this season and her 11th career victory.
