Champion pacer Chicago Bull will make his return in a rare Friday day time meeting this week at Gloucester Park.
The Gary Hall Snr-trained pacer is one of six runners engaged in the Perth Plasterboard Centre Pace (2130m) at Free-For-All level.
Chicago Bull will have to overcome the outside barrier to score on his return, while Talktomeurmattjesty looms as a key danger from barrier one.
Chiaroscuro, Argyle Red, Tommy Be Good and El Jacko have drawn barriers two through to five.
Double Expresso will look to return to the winner’s list in the Westral Pace (2130m) for the three-year-olds, where she has drawn barrier one.
The filly produced an honest performance in the Sky Racing-WA Derby on April 3 when seventh to Patronus Star.
Gardys Legacy, fourth in the WA Derby, has drawn barrier two alongside Double Expresso in what is expected to be a hotly contested event.
Another key event on Friday afternoon will be the Off The Track – More Than Just A Racehorse Pace (1730m) for the two-year-old fillies.
Sales Classic winner Lady Jadore makes her return to the track for the first time since winning that Group 1 on February 28 where she has drawn the outside of the six runners.
Always An Angel and Benesari Lane will also play a key part in the event from barriers four and five respectively.
Meanwhile, progressive pacer Papinik made it five straight wins to start his campaign in the Mondo Doro Smallgoods Pace (2130m) at Gloucester Park last night.
Papinik worked his way to the front for reinsman Chris Voak and ran home in 56.6 to score by 1.8m.
It was the second leg of a double on the card for Voak, who teamed up with Disco Under Fire earlier in the evening.
Gary Hall Jnr also enjoyed success on the eight race card with Mister Bushido scoring a well-deserved win and Good Times Ahead scoring his second win in five days.
The meeting gets underway at 10.30 on Friday morning.
