The field for the Group One $450,000 TABtouch WA Pacing Cup has been released by Harness Racing WA, with the barrier draw set for 8.30am Monday morning (Western Australian time) on TAB Radio.
There was no change to the top 12 of the final rankings, with the āGolden Ticketā from Friday nightās Sky Racing Navy Cup going to Victorian raider Captain Ravishing, who was already ranked fifth.
Trained by Freddy Taiba and driven by local Reisman Aiden DeCampo, Captain Ravishing brilliantly scored at his first up performance at Gloucester Park. Outstanding four-year-old Mister Smartee is a pronounced favourite with TABtouch at $2.15 after winning the two main lead-up races, the James Brennan Memorial and JP Stratton Cup, both at Group Two level. His Hall of Fame trainer Gary Hall Snr is looking to win a staggering 14th WA Pacing Cup and will also line up Jumpingjackmac ($6) and former Cup winner Diego ($34). Mister Smarteeās driver, Gary Hall Jnr is aiming for a record 10th win in the Grand Circuit event.
