Stallions on the Haras Des Trotteurs’ sire roster at Ballarat produced six harness racing heat winners of the rich Vicbred Super Series.
The leading percentage sire Orlando Vici sired a pair of heat winners in the three-year-old Cravache Dor, the nominal favourite for the Group 1 $100,000 Final at Melton on New Year’s Eve, and star four-year-old mare Visionary.
Quaker Jet, Love You, Used To Me and Village Mystic sired one heat winner each.
Quaker Jet was represented by the three-year-old filly Revelstoke, Love You by the four-year-old Locksley Lover, Used To Me by the four-year-old Dont Care and Village Mystic by the three-year-old filly Courmayeur.
Brilliant Orlando Vici four-year-old Ollivici NZ bounced back into the winning lists in defeating a strong Free-for-all field at Geelong, his seventh win from 10 starts this season. Orlando’s Gift, also by Orlando Vici, notched his sixth success overcoming a 20 metre handicap at Globe Derby Park.
Champion sire Love You sired the Victorian winners Kyvalley Picasso NZ and Astro and the New Zealand victors Ti Amo Belle (Addington), Wy Fi (Invercargill), Native’s Inferno and Eurokash (both Rangiora) and Mad Jack and Hot Saucy Betty (Winton).
Used To Me was also represented by the three-year-old filly Queen Of Quebec (Maryborough) and Abitofadreamer (Kilmore), while Quaker Jet sired the Cambridge, NZ three-year-old winner Quik Barbie.
