"The TAB Summer of Glory is Victoria's premier harness racing carnival and attracts interest in our industry from throughout Australia and New Zealand across three big nights," Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) CEO Dayle Brown said.
"To keep improving the event we've made some changes, including the introduction of the Mercury80 series, the Oaks being moved into the carnival, the distance increases for the three-year-old classics and the alignment of our greatest trotting and pacing races, the Great Southern Star and the A.G. Hunter Cup on night three.
"With more than $2million in stakemoney across the TAB Summer of Glory it has become a major sporting event on the Victorian calendar and will ensure the industry receives vital mainstream airplay."
