The Haras Des Trotteurs’ sires Love You and Brillantissime were both represented by important harness racing winners in North America this week.
Grandeur, a three-year-old filly by Love You, took out the $100,000 Oak Grove Sires Stakes Final in 1:53.6 on Monday (July 18) at the Kentucky five-eighths-mile track.
After storming into the lead in the back straight, Grandeur staved of all challengers to score by half a length.
It was her fourth success from nine starts and lifted her stake tally to $79,750.
The following day, the Brillantissime two-year-old filly Pure Hope S prevailed in 2:00 flat at Pocono Downs, Pennsylvania.
Orlando Vici sired another winner in Ollivici from his small New Zealand crop at the Kilmore metropolitan meeting.
The talented four-year-old gelding led throughout for a convincing win in a Winter Trotters Cup, highlighted by a flying 57 seconds final 800 metres. It was his second win from as many starts this season and his sixth from 13 lifetime appearances.
Meanwhile, Robbinmemates (by Love You) notched his third success at Ararat.
