The Tintin In America gelding Tim’s A Trooper, a Group 1 winner as a two-year-old last season, posted his second win at Group level in the $52,000 APG Gold Bullion Final at Albion Park.
Despite sitting parked throughout, the gelding proved a class above his rivals, scoring by half a length.
The mile rate was 1:55.3 for 1660 metres including the final 800 in a sharp 56.9 seconds.
Tim’s A Trooper, who was bred, reared and sold by Yirribee Pacing Stud, has now won six races and almost $200,000 in stakes.
His success put the exclamation mark on a huge week for Tintin In America. The three-year-old Mahomes, a winner at Menangle in 1:54.5, For Tony NZ (1:57.1, Bendigo) and Boston Busker (1:57.9, Launceston) were other winners sired by him.

Warrawee Needy, the former world record holder, sired winners in both hemispheres.
