Star West Australian pacer Magnificent Storm has drawn barrier nine in harness racing’s $300,000 Fremantle Cup over the long trip at Gloucester Park on Friday night.
Magnificent Storm, a five-year-old gelded son of American Ideal, is taking winning form into the Group 1 having won last start over the 2536m distance at the same venue.
The current track record holder for that distance is Vampiro who has drawn barrier three in Friday’s feature.

Also in winning form heading into this stellar clash is Chicago Bull.
After being winless in 12 months, Chicago Bull won at Gloucester Park last week over the long trip and has drawn ideally in barrier four for this test.
