Tintin stock are flying

The progeny of former superstar pacer Tintin In America are firing on all fours . . . on both sides of the Tasman.

The Yirribee Pacing Stud flagship sired a winning double at the Menangle midweek meeting with the two-year-old Chicago Gangster (1:56.8) and the promising three-year-old Mahomes (1:53.1).

Other Tintin winners were Middlepage (1:56.5), completed back-to-back successes at Gloucester Park, the three-year-old Metallica Man, a winner in a sharp 1:55.6 at Wagga, Boston Busker (Launceston) and American Eyretime (1:59.5, Winton, NZ).

The first crop of the North America Cup hero Fear The Dragon continue to take all before them in the Land of the Stars and Stripes. Recent winners sired by him include the Fear Of Faith (1:54.6), winner of a leg of the Falcon Almahurst at Scioto Downs, Ohio; Odds On Capitalism (1:54.6), Odds On Delta (1:56) and Fear The Lightning.

Fear The Dragon has progeny earnings of almost $1.2 million to date from his initial crop.

Warrawee Needy, the former world record holder, was represented by winners in three different countries this week. Heading the vanguard was the talented Uncle Shank, who returned to the winning list with a 1:54.5 effort at Albion Park, while Needless To Say (1:53.4) and Straight Talker (1:56.6) both scored in America and High Flyin Jamie won in 1:53.2 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Canada.

Told You Twice, a gelding by Renaissance Man, further underlined his potential with a runaway success in a career-best 1:58 at Globe Derby Park.
