Champion sire Love You and Used To Me, who are members of the starstudded roster at Haras Des Trotteurs, both produced Group 1 $100,000 Final harness racing winners of the HDT sponsored Vicbred Super Series at Melton on Saturday night (September 16).
Valtino, a two-year-old Love You colt, led throughout in his division to register his fourth success on end and push his stake earnings over the $100,000 mark.
Earlier in the night Gardena Ronda (by Used To Me) led his rivals a merry dance in the four-year-old maresā finale, repelling the valiant bid of runner-up Revelstoke (by Quaker Jet). Gardena Ronda established a new lifetime mark of 1:57.4 and reached six figures in stakewinnings.
Aroha Koe (by Love You) and Queen Of Quebec (Used To Me) both won heats of the Series.
Toro Stride NZ (by Love You) and Red White An Bloom (Orlando Vici) won heats of the prestigious NSW Carousel at Menangle and will both be well in line for the $50,000 Final on September 23.
Star Orlando Vici mare Visionary became her sireās seventh Aussie bred $100,000 earner when annexed the $25,000 R. C. Freestone Free-for-all at Melton.
Other recent stud-sired winners have been Lucky Charm (by Used To Me), a winner at Gloucester Park, and the Love You pair Luvski (Kilmore) and Van Doren (Echuca).
