Fear The Shadow (Shadow Play) ended a 50-start, two-year harness racing losing spell in a big win at Flamboro Downs on Wednesday (Dec. 14).
Travis Henry settled the gelding into fourth after avoiding a breaking foe on the first turn and strolled through the first two panels of :29 and :57.3 as The Colt (Scott Coulter) worked on the leader from a first-over position.
Henry fed his charge that foeās helmet as they turned away from the grandstand and made a three-wide move soon after. Fear The Shadowās nose was in front just past the three-quarter-mile marker in 1:28.2, and the gelding took a clear lead entering the final turn. With tiring pacesetters at the head of the pack, the Fear The Shadow motored six-and-a-half lengths clear to score in 1:59.
Dustylanesebastian (Jason Ryan) circled four foes in the final quarter for second. Jks Henry (Brett MacDonald) was third.
