Aussie Lover (Angus Hall) won his second straight harness racing contest with a sweeping move on the backstretch to reach the $200,000 earnings milestone on Tuesday (May 23) at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
Settling a gapped-off fifth after a rival’s break, the gelding caught the top four and joined the outside flow third-over nearing the half. J. Bradley Harris then swung him four-wide approaching three-quarters, and he fired past all rivals on the final turn to take the win in 1:57.4. Coming Fashion (Anthony Haughan) closed behind him to finish second. Lions Wish Nl (Brett MacDonald) was third.
