In High Cotton (Somebeachsomewhere) captured a second straight Fillies and Mares Preferred at Fraser Downs on Thursday (Apr. 11) in another dominant harness racing effort.
The mare, saddled with the second-tier post eight, pulled from fourth for Kelly Hoerdt in the second trip down the backstretch and cleared tiring leader Hang On Sloopy (Tyson Jacoby) nearing the final turn. In High Cotton marched on, soaring three-lengths clear and stopping the clock in 1:54. Gin Is Better (Clinton Warrington) was second. Grey Sea (John Abbott) came from last to complete the triactor.
