Trois-Rivieres, QC – Two of the best drivers in Quebec, Pascal Berube and Stephane Brosseau, are in a hotly contested battle for leading driver ranking at the Hippodrome 3R this season.
Currently, Berube leads Brosseau, 25 to 24 wins and the last couple of weekends both drivers have exceled. Friday at H3R Brosseau gained ground on Berube with a win, but Berube came up with a driving double to maintain his one-win lead in the driver standings.
Come this Sunday, both drivers will again go head and head. Berube has the slight edge as he has drives in eight of the ten races while Brosseau is only listed to drive in five races.
As for the trainer standings, Sylvain Tremblay and his Alpha Stable leads the pack with 13 wins. In second place is Maxime Velaye with 10 wins from his stable.
The top pacers on the grounds will again do battle on Sunday in the 8th race Preferred-Handicap Pace.
