CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The ‘Red Rocket’ was in full flight Thursday (July 20) evening as harness racing driver David Dowling smiled for five win photos at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Miltonvale Park driver started off the action winning race 2 aboard Fluentocity in 1:57.2 for trainer Blaine Baglole. The Jennifer Doyle stable was a big part of Dowling’s night, with four wins on the night including three with Dowling in the seat.
The first Dowling-Doyle winner was Java in race 3 in a 1:56.4 mile. The Philip Kelly trained Sagali was victorious in race 8 with a 1:58 victory to give Dowling his third of the night. Dowling win number four came in the $3,100 race 11 Open Trot with Jessiejesorjessica stopping the clock in 1:58.4 for trainer Doyle. Race 13 was Dowling and Doyle yet again with a frontend victory for Ladylike in 1:57.2.
Elm Grove Mistress (Driven by Jason Hughes) won race 12 in a 1:56 neck decision from the Doyle barn to give the Earnscliffe trainer a clean sweep of the final three races of the night.
Veteran driver Kenny Arsenault scored a triple on the evening, winning with You Aint Dolly in 1:55.1 in race 10 for trainer Brendan Curran as well as doubling up from his own barn with My Secret Ability in a 2:00.2 clocking in race 7 and a race 9 victory aboard Incredible Two in 1:59.
