Kiwi import reaches $400k

Hail Christian N (Christian Cullen) increased his career harness racing earnings past $400,000 with a four-length victory at Georgian Downs on Tuesday (Jul. 11) over a wet track.

The stallion sat fourth through the opening half and rocketed to the front in the third quarter. After the lightning move, he shook off challenger Yourtheone (Travis Cullen) and motored on to score by four lengths in 1:53. Yourtheone held onto second. Bettor B Going (Anthony Haughan) was third.

Hail Christian N shipped to North America in mid-2020 into the hands of trainer Tony O’Sullivan. He has raced at Woodbine Mohawk Park, the Meadowlands, Harrah’s Philadelphia, and Freehold Raceway. The nine-year-old has won 23 of his 128 lifetime starts and has earned $402,700. Paul Thomas Court trains him for Harcourt Lodge 1 of Orillia.

Georgian Downs will continue racing on Saturday, Jul. 15.
