Mando Fun (Badlands Hanover) passed all six harness racing opponents in the Winners-Over at Northside Downs on Saturday (Jul. 23) for his third win of the year.
He crossed over from post four into the five-hole for driver Ryan Campbell and sat through :28.3 and :58.4 first-half panels. He was shuffled to last as two rivals behind him joined the outside flow, but Campbell got the gelding off the pylons and stacked him three-high nearing three-quarters in 1:30.1.
Mando Fun took flight on the outside, advancing to third on the final turn, and he rolled by the final two foes to score by two lengths in 1:59.1.
A Better Man (John Kennedy) finished second after leading through race-long battles. Runaway Mystery (Harold Leblanc) led the charge on the last bend but finished third after being out-kicked by the winner, who paid $7.20.
