Lite Up The World (American Ideal) took the first leg of the Dream Maker series for two-year-old pacing colts on Friday (Jul. 25) at Woodbine Mohawk Park, tying his mark from two weeks ago.
Fourth to the quarter in :27.2, James MacDonald sent the colt marching to the top on the backstretch and put him on the lead before the half in :56.4. Lite Up The World went to three-quarters in 1:25 and pulled out to a two-length lead at the top of the stretch. Ayeaye Captain Deo (Sylvain Filion) chased him home, but Lite Up The World held him off by a length-and-a-quarter to prevail in 1:51.4. Nova Blue (Louis-Philippe Roy) was well back in third.
