Moosette (Hes Watching) held on after taking over late to win her second straight Fillies and Mares Open at Fraser Downs on Thursday (Feb. 23) on another wet harness racing surface.
Brandon Campbell swung the mare out of fourth on the backside but was treading water as they headed around the final turn. Moosette finally collared leader Miss Itunes (Scott Knight) at the top of the lane and survived the charge of In High Cotton (Dave Hudon) for the victory in 1:54.2. In High Cotton was a neck behind in second. Century Mach (Kelly Hoerdt) finished third.
