SUMMERSIDE, PE – No Plan Intended (Up The Credit) was the top dog in the fastest harness racing elimination division of the Governor’s Plate, presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge, Friday evening at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
David Dowling was in the bike behind the Colin Johnson trained No Plan Intended came first-over to win his $6,000 Governor’s Plate elimination in 1:52.3 just four-fifths off the overall track record of 1:51.4 held by Y S Lotus.
NO PLAN INTENDED REPLAY
Carl Jamieson of Ontario and Brian Paquet of Quebec own the pacer as he punched his ticket to next Saturday’s (July 16) $30,000 final. Island Beach Boy (Gilles Barrieau) was second with Beachin Lindy (Stephen Charlton) third and Rotten Ronnie (Redmond Doucet) fourth and advancing to the final.
Twin B Tuffenuff (Rock N Roll Heaven) converted a pocket-ride to victory in the other elimination in 1:53.2 in line to Barrieau for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Pat Morris of Charlottetown. Time To Dance (Marc Campbell) finished second ahead of Bugsy Maguire (Doucet) and Rose Run Quest (Adam Merner).
TWIN B TUFFENUFF REPLAY
The $3,500 Ruby Chappell Memorial Open Mares eliminations were won by Atlantic Star (Cheyenne Rei, Mike McGuigan) in 1:57 and Dreamfair Zenfire (Sunfire Blue Chip, Campbell) in 1:54.2.
The Paul Langille stable was hot on the night with the trainer-driver winning three races including Rusty Riley (1:57.2), Elm Grove Quail (1:59.3) and Woodmere Marea (1:59.4).
