CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Fresh off playing giant killer, Nannie Bernice (Artspeak) will take her perfect top-three record to Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park as harness racing resumes Thursday (July 20) evening.
The Capital track has 13-dashes on tap with a 6 P.M. opening post time and Nannie Bernice leaves from post 6 in the $3,100 main event in race 12 for the duo of driver Ken Murphy and owner-trainer Janice Hubbard. The three-year-old filly came up huge in her latest start as she played spoiler at 7-1 odds while defeating iron tough aged pacers Fern Hill General and Soccer Hanover.
Nannie Bernice goes back to female competition for Thursday as she leaves from post 6 with a sensational record of three wins, a second and two thirds from six seasonal outings.
Elm Grove Mistress has post 2 for driver Jason Hughes and trainer Jennifer Doyle fresh off a second-place finish in the Ruby Chappell Open Mares consolation at Red Shores Summerside.
Maggiedelight has been a winner her last two starts put must overcome post 7 to make it three straight for driver Corey MacPherson and conditioner Michelle Myers. The Steelhead Hanover mare won the first leg of the P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series presented by JD Marine & Diving her last start in a new career best of 1:55.1.
Also in the tough class are The Lady Sheriff (To be driven by Marc Campbell), Tobins Brownie (David Dowling), Rock The Baby (Patrick Shepherd), Better Be In Love (Gilles Barrieau) and Ms Moyse (Adam Merner).

The $3,100 Open Trot in race 11 has Mile Hill Willie as the top choice with post 3. Barrieau drives the stallion for trainer Paul Morrison, who co-owns the horse with John Breau of New Brunswick. His main foes are Jessiejesorjessica (Dowling) and New Legacy (Merner).
