Seeyou Men (Muscle Mass) tallied an easy harness racing victory at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Wednesday (Apr. 26).
Coming off a fifth-place finish the week prior, Seeyou Men gave the opening quarter to Duke Lavictoire (Jacques Beaudoin) before popping the pocket to take command. It was essentially a time trial from there as Seeyou Men and Guy Gagnon completed :57.3 and 1:26.4 fractions before opening up by four-and-a-quarter lengths down the lane to score in 1:55.4. Westfiftysecond (Darcy Clancy) was second.Ā Duke Lavictoire finished third.
SEEYOU MEN REPLAY
Seeyou Men, a perennial Preferred contender at Rideau since 2021, is now 43-for-197 lifetime. The 11-year-old has earned $446,462 for owners Catheline Pelletier of Mirabel and Chantal Gravel of St-Cyrille-De-Wendover. Gagnon trains the gelding.
Also on the card, Jeremy Marcotte won his first career training start. His Honey Bee First (Encore Encore) won the opener in 1:59.2 with Stephane Pouliot aboard to give Marcotte a perfect debut.
HONEY BEE FIRST REPLAY
It was the four-year-old mareās first start of the year and her first for Marcotte, who acquired her six days prior. The trainer has also qualified Premier Star and Hurrikane Cheyenne. Premier Star was entered for Wednesday but was scratched.
