The gelding lied in wait from third for Anthony Haughan and began his attack nearing three-quarters. He pulled alongside leader Come On Artie (J. Bradley Harris) on the final turn and left him behind in the stretch, storming home to score by three-and-three-quarter lengths in 1:52.3. It Takes Two (Lorne House) passed the pacesetter to take second off his pocket trip. Come On Artie held third.

ST LADS CRIMINAL REPLAY

St Lads Criminal debuted as a three-year-old on May 22, lost his first two starts, and has been unbeaten in his eight races since. The gelding, trained by Lori Lepage, has earned $28,662 for Rebecca Williamson of Blyth.

Grand River Raceway is set to resume racing on Monday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
