St Lads Criminal (Control The Moment) won his eighth consecutive harness racing contest in his rookie season at Grand River Raceway on Friday (Aug. 11).

The gelding lied in wait from third for Anthony Haughan and began his attack nearing three-quarters. He pulled alongside leader Come On Artie (J. Bradley Harris) on the final turn and left him behind in the stretch, storming home to score by three-and-three-quarter lengths in 1:52.3. It Takes Two (Lorne House) passed the pacesetter to take second off his pocket trip. Come On Artie held third.
