Two To Ten (Mystery Chase) took his talents to Alberta following the conclusion of the Manitoba harness racing season and extended his winning streak to four at Century Downs on Wednesday (Sep. 21).
After travelling fourth through the first two panels of :27.3 and :58.4, Nathan Sobey directed the gelding onto cover and tracked Had A Hard Handle (Tyler Redwood) to three-quarters in 1:27.1.
Sobey tipped him three-wide as the field began to bend for home, and the gelding muscled past Had A Hard Handle in deep-stretch to take the victory in 1:57.2.
Had A Hard Handle was second by three-quarters of a length. Kootenay Lager (Logan Gillis) finished third.
TWO TO TEN REPLAY
Two To Ten has now won four straight races. He moved to Miami Fair for new trainer Travis Ellis in July and won six of nine starts, including his last three at the track. The four-year-old has now racked up $42,605 and 11 wins in 66 outings. Timothy Gordon of Spruce Grove owns the gelding.
Driver Brandon Campbell was perfect through the first four races and was the dayās winningest driver.
Century Downs will resume racing on Tuesday, Sep. 27, skipping two dates for the ASHA Yearling Sale.
