Last weekend the German Breeders Crown trotting events took place at Berlin-Mariendorf in Germany. The action began Friday with aged (5-7 year olds) events for fillies and colts.
The filly division raced over 1900 meters autostart for 48,512ā¬ with the 1.12.4kr timed victory earned by 2.7/1 Kyriad Newport (5f Explosive Matter-Elusive Desire) reined by Michael Nimczyk for trainer Wolfgang Nimczyk.
This team defeated Jamaica Ferro (6f Timoko-Avalon Transs R) with Robin Bakker at the lines for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. Third was Pastors Girl (6f Pastor Stephen-Supergirl As) handled by Robin Bot for trainer Wolfgang Nimczyk.
In the male division (purse 48,512ā¬, 1900 meters autostart for 5-7 year old males) the 6/1 odds Hidalgo Heldia (5m Raja Mirchi-Lady Holdic) reined by Jorma Kontio for trainer Conrad Lugauer and timed in 1.10.8kr. Toto Barosso (5m Ready Cash-Bibi Barosso) was second for Jorgen Sjunnessen for trainer Peter Untersteiner. Key To The Hill was third for Jaap van Rijn.
On Saturday there were five more Breeders Crown event. The Breeders Crown Three Year Fillies (purse 28,495ā¬, 1900 meters autostart) saw 1.6/1 odds Look Of Love (3f Ready Cash-La Reve) score in 1.15.0kr with owner/driver Jean Pierre Dubois at the lines.
The 82-year-old legendary Dubois bred this one that Jose Hernandez Nararro trains. Mose Eagle (3f Bold Eagle-Freya Kievitshof) was second for Hugo Langeweg and Marvellous Steel (3f Muscle Mass-Lady Josephine) took third with Jeffrey H. Mieras aboard.
Next was the Breeders Crown for four tear old females (purse 33,894ā¬, 1900 meters autostart) with 26/1 outsider Isla (4f Prodigious-Indication) scoring in 1.12.1kr for driver Tim Schwayma and trainer H. Kuhstrater. Rose Hill (4f Ready Cash-Raspberry Diamant) took second money for reinsman Jan van Rijn and trainer Rick Ebbinge with third to Red Pine Lilly (4f Dream Vacation) for pilot Thomas Panschow and trainer Thorsten Tietz.
In the four-year-old male Breeders Crown (purse 33,894ā¬, 1900 meters autostart) the 4.3/1 Jimmy Ferro BR (4m Love You-Avalon Transs R) was a 1.12.0kr timed winner for trainer Alessabdro Gocciadoro. Hockstedt (4m Prodigious-Honey Bee) was second with trainer Victor Gentz at the lines. Staccato HL (4m Muscle Hill-Stacelita) took third money for driver Robin Bot and trainer Wolfgang Nimczyk.
The Breeders Crown for two year olds followed. Both divisions were raced over 1900 meters autostart for 17,556ā¬ purses.
In the filly division the 12.2/1 odds Narda F. Boko (2f Maharajah-Blackberry Hanover-Donerail) scored in 1.16.7kr for driver Jeffrey H. Mieras and trainer D.P. Tesselaar. Nirvana Newport (2f EL Titan-Noon Tea Party-Broadway Hall) was second for Robin Bakker, with third to Sierra S (2f Father Patrick-Sea Raven-Andover Hall).
In the male division the 4.5/1 Cincinnati Beach S (2m International Moni-Celebrity Lady) scored in 1.13.3kr for trainer/driver Danny Brouwer to defeat In Motion (2m Fabulous Wood-Iron Lady) with Jeffrey H. Mieras up for trainer Tesselaar and breeder/owner Jean Pierre Dubois. Brother In Arms (2m Fabulous Wood-Elusive Melody) took third for Michael Nimczyk up for trainer Henk A.J. Grift.
