The winner extended his 2019 win streak to seven in as many starts and he is now 14 wins in 18 starts in Hungary. Veljko Mazsity teamed the winner that was off as the 1.2/1 favorite. The 19/1 Milady Amok (6f Scarlet Knight-Balett Amok-Defi d’Aunou) was second with Csaba Lakatos the pilot. 47/1 Unique Vil (6m Conway Hall-Deborah Bi-Park Avenue Joe) was third.
Earlier on the card was the Luca DIJ (purse 400,000HUf, 2400 meters autostart) and 2/1 Iago d’Amore (5g Mago d’Amore-Indyran-Uronometro) scored for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas, his 1600th career driving victory.
Fazekas has 14 wins in 66 starts in 2019. Race time was 1.17.3kr for this wire to wire performance. Iago was bred in Szerbia by Branislav Mukity who also drove second finishing 14/1 Zaneboro (4m Frullino Jet-Corolla Jet-Park Avenue Joe). Third was the 5/2 second choice Zolta (4m Naglo-Gazza Jet-Supergill) with Veljko Mazsity aboard.
In early non-wagering action featuring two-year olds Imre Fazekas sent out two and was the driving/training winner with Blue Moon (2m Calypso Capar-Norah Jones-Zador) from post one timed in 1.26.3kr.
