Etonnant (9m Timoko-Migraine) and harness racing driver Anthony Barrier were parked the distance and rallied mid-lane to win Elitloppet elim 1 (250,000SEK to winner, 1609 meters autostart) in 1.09.6kr at 9.35/1 odds. The Richard Westerink owned and trained former Elitloppet winner two years ago bested Go On Boy (7m Password-Balginette) reined and trained by Romain Derieux and off at 17.2/1 odds. Third in a photo was pacesetter Onas Boy (5m Chocolatier) at 4.9/1 with Per Nordstrom up. Stoletheshow (8m Dream Vacation) was rallying fourth at 30.5/1 with Dexter Dunn aboard.
In the second Elitloppet heat, San Moteur (Panne de Moteur) representing Sweden with trainer-driver Bjƶrn Goop, was able to sweep four-wide on the final to win in 1.09.1kr. He went off at odds of 3-1.
Hohneck (Gabriele Gelormini) from France was second with Italy’s Vivid Wise As (Matthieu Abrivard) third and Sweden’s Hail Mary (Ake Svanstedt) fourth.
On the undercard was the Breeders Course for three-year-old fillies (600,000SEK to winner, 2140 meters autostart) and 10.5/1 Esmeralda BEZ (3f Maharajah-Nougatine-Daquet Rapide) won a four-horse photo in 1.13.3kr for trainer/driver Alessandro Gccoadoro. Kitty Hawk (3f Fourth Dimension) set the pace and held second for Dexter Dunn at 4.2/1 with Eteria (3f Tactical Landing) third at 4/1 for Ulf Ohlsson with fourth to Esperia Font (3f Face Time Bourbon) handled by Ake Svanstedt.
