This Sunday Paris-Vincennes will showcase the Gr. I International Prix de France (purse 400,000€, 2100 meters autostart, second leg of the UET Elite Circuit 2023). That race lineup is shown below.
Don Fanucci Zet (Hard Livin) will leave from post one with Orjan Kihlstrom up. Prix d’Amerique winner Hooker Berry (Booster Winner) starts from post three with Nicolas Bazire up and Prix de Luxembourg winner Beads (Archangel) will start from post 10 with JMB at the lines.
On Sunday there are also three other groupe tests including the Gr. II monte Prix Louis le Bourg for four-year-olds that have those entrants competing for the 120,000€ purse racing over the 2850 meter distance; and the Gr. II Prix Ovide Moulinet (purse 120,000€, five-year-olds racing 2700 meters).
Wednesday’s Paris-Vincennes harness racing feature was the Prix de Chateauroux (purse 57,000€, 2100 meters autostart, European 7–10-year-olds) and saw 3.3/1 odds Fanatic Flash (8g Offshore Dream-Only One Night) reined by David Thomain for trainer and co-owner J.P. Raffegeau.
This was the winners’ 16th career victory for 223,900€ earned, and his third straight victory. Race time was 1.11.4kt with a fast final 500, the time with 500 meters remaining was 1.11.9kr.
The 1.2/1 favorite Zorro Wind (8g Ready Cash-Brava Power) rallied for second with Matthieu Abriavrd up for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. The 51/1 odds longshot Filhio de Lou (8g Prodigious) held third for Leo Abrivard.
