Racing resumes at Paris-Vincennes on Friday as its Spring Meeting begins with two Groupe level events followed on Saturday with another solid card. The Friday program showcases two monte Gr. II events each for purses of 120,000€ for three-year-olds.
The males will contest the Prix Felicien Gauvreau to be raced over 2200 meters. Kifil de Bussry (3m Boccardor de Simm) could be favored in this one as the Loris Garcia trainee enters off three straight victories.
The fillies will battle in the Prix Ali Hawas also a 2200-meter distance event. Karlita (3f Fabulous Wood-Aventura) comes in off two straight wins for trainer William Bigeon. Bred by Ecurie Hunter Valley, this filly represents a classic Jean Pierre Dubois bred maternal family. The dam is a daughter of Goetmals Wood-Rapide Aventure-Love You-Bahama.
Bahama was a winner of 1,663,108€ and the dam of four winners of over 132,000€. Also let’s not forget the sire of Karlita, that being Fabulous Wood by Ready Cash from the exceptional mare Qualita Bourbon, she the winner of 1,538,050€ and again the product of JPD.
