Stakes record set in Pulay Kornel Memorial

The Finland invader Gomez (9g Ready Cash-Coyne-Nuclear Kosmos) gamely held off a host of rivals to win the 1,500,000Huf purse Pulay Kornel Memorial at Kincsem Park raced over 1900 meters autostart with ten contestants.

From post eight Gomez won for the first time in Hungary and timed in 1.14.1kr with Csaba Lakatos aboard for trainer Tibor Hajnal. He was off at 4.5/1 odds as he set the stake record. Night Lady (f, Tony Oaks) set the previous record of 1.14.3kr in 2014.  Rinette Sreamline (f, Kashner Hanover) scored in 2015 timed in 1.14.5kr.

This day the 7/1 Il Duce Boko (7m Muscle Hill-Danae F. Boko – Ken Warkentin) was second followed by 13.3/1 Zona (7f Offenbach Bigi).

On the undercard Charming Boy (4m Zola Boko-Night Lady-Tony Oaks) won the Underpaid Hanover DIJ (purse 500,000Hif, 1900 meters autostart) timed in 1.16.0kr with Csaba Lakatos up for trainer Tibor Hajnal and owner Napsugar, He was off at 2.6/1 odds and the victory was his third straight in 2022.

In the Rinette Streamline DIJ (purse 500,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) the 3.4/1 odds Coach Degli Dei (4f Brillantissime-Un El Axe-Love You) scored in 1.16.3kr for driver Goran Zolanji. This mare is unbeaten in four 2021-22 starts in Hungary.
