Italian three-year-olds contest Italiano del Trotto elims

Three eliminations (batterias) of the Grand Premio Derby Italiano del Trotto for three year olds are in the books as raced at Roma Capannelle.

Each batteria carried a purse of 22,000€ and each was raced over 2100 meters autostart. All were impressive starting with Expo Wise As (3m Ready Cash-Ladyone-Muscle Mass) an open length laugher at 1.2/1 odds and timed in 1.14.0kr. Alessandro Gocciadoro was the winning trainer/driver of this Scuderia Wise and Serenissima product. Everything Bi (3m Varenne-Las Brisas Bi-Toss Out) was an 8.2/1 odds second for Andrea Guzzinati. Third home was 6.1/1 Encierro (3m Tobin Kronos-Olvera-Korean). The sire Tobin Kronos is a son of Muscle Hill-Zania FC-Sugarcane Hanover) and the first dam sire Korean sired Sebastian K.

In the next batteria the 3.4/1 Executiv EK (3m Face Time Bourbon-Nike EK-Varenne) scored in 1.15.1kr for Gabriele Gelormini trainer Gocciadoro and Scuderia Pink & Black. He led all the way but was passed on the inside and then got his nose back in front to defeat 16.2/1 Eminem Font (3m Ringostarr Treb-Theresa del Ronco-Adrian Chip. Etereo Jet (3m Igor Font-Sgarza Jet-Supergill) landed third beaten three lengths.

The final 22,000€ purse batteria saw 1.4/1 odds Ebano d’Arc (3m Bird Parker-Geisha Grif-Pine Chip) hold on by a short snout to win in 1.14.2kr with Alexandre Abrivard driving for Mauro Baroncini and owner Laurent Claude Abrivard. He left from post three and set the pace until confronted late by post one on-rushing 21.3/1 odds Elton Wise (3m Maharajah-Sorority Wise-Napoleon) with Gabriele Gelormini aboard. Third was 14.2/1 Ehlert Par (3m Ruty Grif-Superba Par-Allison Hollow) hanlded by Antonio Di Nardo.
