Kyrielle des Vaux wins Gr. II Prix de Pardieu

The 1.6/1 odds favorite Kyrielle des Vaux (4f Rolling d’Heripre-Noisette des Vaux) took today’s Gr. II Prix de Pardieu (monte, purse 120,000€, 2175 meters for females age 4) at Vincennes timed in 1.12.6kr.

Guillaume Lenain was the winning jockey for trainer Charley Mottier and owner Dominique Gallienne as Kyriele won for the fourth time in her 14-race career now for earnings of 281,920€. Finishing second was 9/1 Kerry Love (4f Brillantissime-Amie Love) for trainer/jockey Mathieu Mottier and owner Luc Vanderhagen. The dam Amie love (Goetmals Wood-Guilty of Love-And Arifant-Amour d’Aunou) is a daughter of the dam of Love You, Nice Love, Repeat Love and In Dix Huit, the product of legendary Jean Pierre Dubois. Third today was 5.8/1 Larla de Mai (4f Bold Eagle-Vivolta) handled by jockey Guiillaume Martin for Bruno Bourgoin and owner Michel Agostini.

The Gr. III Prix de Brest (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters, 15 European starters ages 6-11) was the second featured event on today’s sunny card. Here the 9/10 odds favorite It’s a Dollarmaker (6m Saxo de Vandel-Salt Lake City) scored in 1.12.9kr with Eric Raffin the driver for Sebastian Guarato training for Ecurie Gianni Fascella. This guy has 14 career victoories in 28 starts for earnimngs of 415,280€. Bordeaux S (8g Orlando Vici) was second at 18/1 for Christophe Martens the reinsman for Global Glide AB and trainer Jean Michel Bazire. Bazire also trains Gemin Jaba (8g Kesaco Phedo) that was third at 10/1 for Nicholas Bazire anhd breeder/owner Gilberte Bazire. Kentucky River (6m Father Patrick) landed fourth at 11/1 with David Thomain teaming the Daniel Reden trainee.

It’s A Dollarmaker connections

In the 68,000€ purse Prix de Granville (2700 meters for 15 starters ages 7-10) the 7/10 favorite Hannibal Tuilerie (7g Remember Jihem) scored from far back in the lane with Matthieu Abrivard teaming this Jacques Bruneau trainee for Chares Marcen Bruneau. The 1.14.0kr timed winner nhow has 12 wins in 62 career starts for 317,035€ earned. Guiness d’Herfraie (8f Ludo de Castelle) was second at 8.6/1 with David Thomain aboard for trainer Clement Thomain. Third in a wild scramble was 4.5/1 Here We Go (7g Royal Dream) with owner/trainer/driver Julien Dubois driving the Jean Philippe Dubiis bred campaigner.

Earlier in the program in the Pirx de Maisons-Laffitte (purse 51,000€, 2175 meters, nine three-year old starters)  the 13/1 odds Love Letter (3f Royal Dream-Endiablee-Prodigious) scored nu a nose for driver/owner/trainer Julien Dubois. The Jean Philippe Dubois bred filly recorded her first career win in four starts now for earnings of 33,960€. The 2.1/1 favorite La Joyeuse Wicz (3f Fabulous Wood-Tarentelle Jenilou) just missed on the pegs with Eric Raffin aboard for breeder/owner/trainer Louis Baudron. La Fee du Noyer (3f Face Time Bourbon-Circle Drive-Goetmals Wood) was third at 4.8/1 with Franck Nivard driving the Fabrice Souloy trainee for Tramontom Srl. Pedigree prevailed in this one.

Earlier today it was reported that the 2.526€ million champion Etonnant would not start in the Prix d’Amerique. Etonnant had been plagued with ulcer problems of late and had been mostly off-form since the Yonkers International. What a great campaigner Etonnant has been in all the major races just like his sire Timoko, both for conditioner Richard Westerink.
