On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 26th of June)
CANADIAN FEATURE
In harness racing you’re never too far away from seeing a major upset. That was certainly the case at Grand River Raceway on Friday when Rave Review got the best of race rivals at the huge odds of 82/1. The 1:56.4 overall time was aided by a quick mid-sectional and a speed duel up front. Nicholas Barnsdale covered the action. Watch the replay below.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Peter Wharton reported on the Group 3 Paleface Adios Classic recently which saw an impressive victory from the son of Bling It On in Hold Onto Ya Bling. Adam Sanderson drove a patient race with the two-year-old pulling away over the concluding stages. Hold Onto Ya Bling has now earned $43,662 from just seven race day efforts including three wins and three placings. Watch the replay below.
