Down Under Winners from North America – 18th October

The New Zealand-bred four-year-old harness racing mare Racey Rach (A Rocknroll Dance) extended her winning streak to nine when she emerged successful in 1:55 at Saratoga Raceway on Monday (October 10). The A Rocknroll Dance mare has now earned $US55,969.

 On the same card, former Kiwi champion Changeover led in a double with La Bella Vita NZ (1:53.8), who won a $16,000 Fillies and Mares Open in 1:53.8, and Bronze Over (1:54). It was La Bella Vita’s 10th success for the season.

None Bettor, a Victorian bred gelding, hoisted a new world record of 2:20.3 for 1-1/4 miles and sent his earnings over the million dollar mark when he beat a top field in the $250,000 Invitational Yonkers Raceway, New York. The eight-year-old has won 42 races lifetime.

Patrickthepiranha, a West Australian bred son of Four Starzzz Shark, came from last to capture a $20,000 Open in 1:50.2 at Plainridge Park, Massachusetts. He has won nine races for the year and earned $US141,649.

Meanwhile, Pat McGarry made it four wins from his last five starts with a 1:50.4 effort at Harrah’s Philadelphia, while Newsy NZ earned a new speed badge of 1:52.8 at Plainridge Park’.
