Harness racing hits Ashburton again today with 14 races on the card . The racing starts at 12:30pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Dash Dosh (6) Recent trial winner who should run top three with manners. Top selection
Maroubra (7) Big track will help and look for improvement on recent form. Include here
Tinkerbelle (9) Getting better with racing and in good form for this. Place chance again

Race 2

Quicker Than Quick (7) Did too much work last start and easier here. Has to be included
Play It Cool (10) Tricky draw requires luck. One of the better chances with any gaps. Needed
Fear Gogh (1) Improver from his last start and great draw. Top three chance again here

Race 3

A Reason To Fight (8) Has trialled well on the track and good last start. Better run expected
Tessamae (7) Ok last start and a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit. Needed
Gold Nugget (13) Freshened for this and not the worst if he gets a clean start. One for odds

Race 4

Always On Sale (8) Top driver booked and a big winning chance here. Top selection
Ari On Safari (6) Has early speed and goes well the track. Should give a good account
Melton Magnate (13) Out of form but at his best is a place chance at longer odds in this

Race 5

Patiro (14) Big run to win last start. Terrible draw but can make his own luck. Top selection
Motor Mouth (5) Had excuses last start but has gate speed. Could surprise here at odds
Ideal Chevron (7) Will be fitter after last start and driver change for this. Place chance

Race 6

Navara (9) Track stats not great but racing well and can improve. Need to include
Blink N Bones (1) Should get a soft run handy. Place claims from the draw. One for odds
Swift Dream (11) Due to show form and only needs manners to figure here. Needed

Race 7

One For Jay (10) Draw hurts but decent reputation. Can run a tidy mile in this field
Crackle N Crunch (1) Should get a run through early. Might need luck but good chance
Miki B (13) Tricky draw but good last start. One of the better chances in this field

Race 8

Bettor Off (11) Tidy recent trial win. Stable respect and good chance on debut. Needed here
Jena (1) Top driver booked and drawn to be a major player in this. Winning claims
Didjaseemiki (10) Should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance at longer odds

Race 9

The Chase (2) Big run to win last start and only needs manners to go close again here
Here Comes Jane (9) Running on well late last start. Goes ok the track and can go close
Nubliah Chamay (4) Good beginner who got back last start. Place hope again here

Race 10

Kairaki Delight (9) Looked good winning last start and rise in grade no issue. Needed
Buddha (14) Tricky draw but better than most in this field. Has to be respected again in this
Quinn (4) Won fresh and then no luck. Freshened again and not the worst. Could surprise

Race 11

Our Shangri Lana (2) Has been racing better fields. Can go close here from the draw
Watching Brief (4) Good form and trained locally. Gate speed and needed here.
Lilac Luxury (3) Likely to race close to the speed. One for longer odds with improvement

Race 12

Tabasco (9) Has been unlucky weaker field here. Wide draw but top selection in this.
Penny Weight (7) Better than the form suggests. Gate speed and has to be respected
Fergalicious (2) No luck at Rangiora but good draw and bigger track will suit.Needed

Race 13

Martha Stuart (7) Fast beginner who can go close here if she finds the front. Include
Shandon Bells (1) Drawn for a cozy run on the pegs. One for longer odds in this field
Musclynn (3) Likely to race close to the speed here. Racing well and chance with a good trip

Race 14

Toby Tom B (3) Has been unlucky and best draw for some time. Top selection in this.
Tower Of Love (7) Tricky draw but gate speed and top driver booked. Has to be respected
Song Sung Blue (11) Slashing run for second two starts ago. Big chance with luck in transit
