Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:53pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Brienne (2) Conditions suit and good beginner. Goes close with a soft trip. Top selection
Emily Bay (9) In good form and another who will appreciate the distance. In the mix. Include
Val Thorens (3) Better run last start. Winning claims with a safe getaway. Winning claims

Race 2

Hawkeye Pierce (7) In good form and hardly ever out of the placings. Looks a good bet here
Shake A Leg (5) Well drawn and one of the better chances. Stats say he runs top three at worst
Rough And Ready (6) Improver from his last start and looks to be a top three chance here

Race 3

Fearless (7) Stable in good form and has been racing stronger fields in Canterbury. Top selection
Sweet Olivia (3) On a good run of form and has won on the track in the past. Winning claims
Sans Au Revoir (1) Should get a soft run from the draw. Chance here at longer odds. Include

Race 4

Wicked Wanda (5) Goes well on the track and a winning chance again with a good trip. Needed
Mhai Surfer Girl (4) Has gate speed and might go forward. Good finish last start in a similar field
Courtney Rose (2) Better draw to contend with here. Speedy and not the worst with a good trip

Race 5

Hillbilly (5) Stable does well on the track and the the motor is there. Manners are needed here
Illicit Love (2) Trialing ok and getting better with racing. Chance here with no mistakes in running
Final Approach (7) Stable respect and a freshen up. Look for a good run in this field. Include

Race 6

Hooray Henry (4) Last start was good and only needs manners to feature again here. Top selection
Claude (1) In good form and gets a head start on his opposition Even field but winning claims again
Miki Shan (2) Out of form but better than that. Small field will help and can go close to top three

Race 7

American Muscle (5) Conditions suit and can win if he gets a good trip. One of the better chances
Castana (1) Beat a similar field here last start. Can win again but will need a good run in transit
Lord Popinjay (2) Good beginner who might head forward early. Will stick on well here over the sprint

Race 8

The Jolly Roger  (6) Only need manners to be a big chance in this. Has been racing better fields
Franco Santana (5) Stable can get them running and has been freshened. Can run top three here
Waltzing With Miki (4) In good form and small field will help here. Chance of going one better
