Harness racing hits Cambridge again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 5:50pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Auckland selections 17^th February 2023

Best Bet:  R1   Miki Montana

Best Value:  R4   Major Jay

Race 1

Miki Montana (3) Has the form on the board and drawn to be dangerous. Top selection
Crusader (1) Likely to receive a good run from the draw. Can run top three in this field
Katies Princess (4) Racing well but up in grade. Driver in good form and has winning claims

Race 2

Dream Of You (10) Galloped when coming into it last start Hard to beat with no mistakes
Taylad To Use (5) Has been galloping but has claims here with manners early. Include
Eye Love You (8) Conditions suit and she can surprise with the right trip. One for longer odds

Race 3

Wicked Wanda (3) Looked impressive winning maiden and then unlucky. Drawn to lead. Needed
Hail Lucius (4) In good form and does possess a nice sprint. One for longer odds in this field
Bad Medicine (10) Never far away from the placings in tougher fields. Could surprise here

Race 4

Major Jay (3) An even field and draws well here. Has to rate highly in this based on trials
Spirit Of Anarchy (11) Comes a long way for this and has been good at trials. Can run top three
Cold Chisel (1) Draw makes him a good chance and has been good at trials. Top three chance

Race 5

Mums Jewel (9) Big run last start and gets a headstart on the favourites. One of the better chances
Double Delight (14) Won well last start and should be fitter. Deserves to start favourite in this
Resolve (15) Tricky handicap but has been in great form. Dangerous with a cart into the race

Race 6

Sinbad (12) Getting better with racing and Purdon chooses this one.  Hard to beat with luck
Merlin (11) Goes best from the front and follows out the stable mate. Might race handy here
Son Of Mac (8) Big win last start but tricky draw.  Could surprise if he can lead early

Race 7

Millwood Nike (6) Unbeaten and one of the weakest fields she has faced. Looks the winner
Seaclusion (3) Has run some good races here and drawn much better. Can run top three
Sucitra (7) Change of trainer and trials have been good. Can lob a placing here

Race 8

Jono B (3) Goes well on the track and can run time. Should lead here and can stick
Manhattan Sunshine (7) Change of trainer and has gate speed. Likely  to race handy
Barbarossa (1) Drawn for a cosy run on the pegs. Good place chance in this field
