Harness racing hits Cambridge again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:44pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R6  Oscar Bonavena

Best Value:  R1  Jaccka Opa

Race 1

Jaccka Opa (3) Was good in Canterbury but yet to show it in the North. Give another chance
Megyn Kelly (7) Wide draw and up a grade but getting fitter. One of the better chances
Medina Magic (2) Goes well the track and nice draw here. Good chance at longer odds

Race 2

Son Of Patrick (10) Great course stats and recent winner. Has to be included in this
Conrad H (3) Tidy second last start and should be improved. Should give a good sight
Jasinova (2) Improver from her last start and goes well the track. Winning claims here

Race 3

Showtym Girl (2) Not far away last start and sure to be right in the finish. Top selection
Tyron’s Connoisseur (9) Manners needed but good enough to win with a good trip
Reet Petite (5) Good effort last start and front row draw. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Lincoln La Moose (6) This is easier than what he has been racing. Top selection in this
Spirit Of Waiheke (7) Goes well the track. Should give a good account against these
Waltzing With Miki (10) Shorter distance will suit and winning claims with a good trip

Race 5

Fearless (7) Slightly disappointing last start. This looks easier so put in all combos
Lord Popinjay (10) Good beginner and well placed here. Can go back to back in this
Dreams Pat (4) Should be fitter after last start win. Needs to step but has the motor

Race 6

Oscar Bonavena (8) Conditions suit and hard to see him beaten from behind the mobile
Shez Bella (4) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw. One for odds
Kyvalley Hotspur (7) Good second last start and does have gate speed. Track should suit

Race 7

Don’t Stop Dreaming (5) Has beaten better fields. Should be in the first three here. Needed
Republican Party (6) Beat these ones last start and quick off the gate. Hard to beat again
Little Spike (1) Best draw and track suits. This is harder but can go close to placing here

Race 8

The Surfer (2) Stand start the key and need to step. Has speed and good winning chance
Lady Of The Light (5) Big drop in class here and should give a sight with a clean start
Mhai Surfer Girl (4) Extra distance will be ok and nice win here last start. Top three hope

Race 9

Busy Canoodling (4) Conditions suit and close to a win. Good chance if he finds the lead
Ivanka (9) Nice win last start but goes back in handicap. One of the better form chances
Helsingor (10) Ok run last start. Could surprise at longer odds with early manners
