Harness racing hits Geraldine again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 1:00pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R1   Foveaux Gambler

Best Value:  R4   Choco Lou

Race 1

Foveaux Gambler (9) Handles grass and a drop in class here. Has to rate highly
Evidently (8) Good beginner and should race handy. Might stick on for a top three
Get It On (5) Has won on the track and could surprise with the right run in transit.

Race 2

Kawhi (6) Has been getting the start wrong but will be hard to beat with manners
Downtown Orlando (10) Iffy at the start but can run once under way. Can run top three
Bevron (3) Drawn well and normally a good beginner. Major player in this field

Race 3

Ambleside Drive (1) Ok last start and drawn to lead. Hard to beat if she keeps the front
The Highlander (2) Late finish at big odds last start. Winning claims in the same mood
Sir Monty (10) Has a nice inside draw and should improve. Place hope at longer odds

Race 4

Choco Lou (7) Tidy run last start for a close up fourth. Good stepper and top selection
Beaudiene Quick Step (5) Quick beginner who might try to lead early. Winning claims
He’s A Jackalack (1) Good draw and a chance if he steps cleanly. One for longer odds

Race 5

Ruthless Lizzie (9)  . Should be hard to beat after running on well last start. Include
Abacardi Hazel (5) Stuck well for second last start. This field no stronger. Needed
A Late Late Pressy (2) Lacked space last start but finished well late. Can surprise

Race 6

Fernz Goldy (5) Drawn well ok on grass last start. Might go forward early here
Phone Tap (2) Change of trainer. Will race handy and can run top three with luck
Barnstormer (1) Might get a soft fence run and can finish strongly. Winning claims

Race 7

Piece Of Gold (10) Drawn wide but good run for second in a similar field last start. Needed
Apatchofgold (12) Freshened and grass suits. Chance at longer odds with luck here
Ventura (13) Ok at recent trials. Looks stronger this time in and has winning claims

Race 8

Boyz Invasion (10) Has a big finish and second in a tough field last start. Top selection
Hanover Da Moon (5) Out of form but good enough to get a slice of the money here. Include
Anna’s Boy (6) Racing well and can run top three with a similar effort to last start win.

Race 9

Press Play (6) Drawn to go forward early and good run last start. Winning claims
Sister’s Delight (1) Good draw and will be finishing well up the fence. Can go close in this
Janarty (10) Should get a run through early. Will not be disgraced in this field. Needed
