Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 4:28pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Justine Jaccka (7) Nice run in a stronger field last start. Should go close here and top selection in this
Ah Dinnae Ken (9) Plenty of ability and trainer change. Manners needed but has to be included fresh
Madison’s Moon (4) Track stats ok and just needs to get around with no mistakes to be a chance.

Race 2

Ultimate Mach (1) Looks a good bet from a much better draw here. One of the better chances
Hogie (5) Handy draw and good enough to make his own luck in the running. Can give cheek
Harold Hanover (8) Wide draw hurts but driver change and could surprise with a cart up. Include

Race 3

Wild East (3) Has raced better fields in the past. Should keep improving and can go close to winning
Fernco Nel (4) Ran time when second on debut. Winning claims with a fast beginning. Needed
Sent (6) Mobile will help here. Worked hard last start and not the worst in this. Top three chance

Race 4

Foveaux Gambler (6) Goes ok from a stand and can run time. Drops in class and has winning claims
Dare Devil (9) Tricky draw but fast on his day. If he steps he could surprise in this. One for odds here
Hazer (1) Races well over the shorter trip if he can get handy early. Normally good from a stand

Race 5

Always On Sale (7) Better for the last start win. Winning chance again and should give a sight
Trendy Van Gogh (1) Has raced well against similar fields. Should get a run through early. Include
Sidorova (3) Change of trainer and has gate speed. Due to get back into form. Good odds available

Race 6

Better Be Quick (1) Galloped last start and only needs manners to be right in the fight for this. Include
Showcase (4) Running good races in similar fields. Should give a good account and will be improved
Chicago Sky (6) Wide draw but stable respect and bred to be good. No surprise to see her in the money

Race 7

Better Be Watching (3) Has good from and a good chance of adding to that. Top selection in an even field
Artmore (6) Has not had a lot of luck but has gate speed and an aggressive driver. One for longer odds
Emerald Abbey (10) Normally holds her form. One of many chances in this and top three claims again

Race 8

Emily (5) Conditions suit and fast from a stand early. Should race handy and go close to the placings in this
Dwindle Star (8) Has raced well against similar fields. On the improve and another who can begin quickly
Shandon Bells (1) Nice draw and better than the form suggests. Look for a good run in this field from the ace

Race 9

Rightazz (8) Track stats good and wide draw the only concern. Good chance if he gets a cart into the race
The Orange Roughy (1) Top driver booked and drawn the ace. Should give a good account in this field at odds
Ward Lamon (9) Could get a soft trip. Not the worst in this at longer odds with gaps in the straight. Include
