On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

USA REPLAY
Steve Wolf covered some of the action from Harrah’s Hoosier Park on Friday. One of the feature events on their card was the running of the Open Pace. The Aussie raider in Spring Inhis Step A being too strong in the $22’000 event, producing a lifetime mark of 1.49.4. Watch the action below.
CANADIAN REPLAY
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on the flying Iknowbetter recently. The son of Betterthancheddar is proving hard to beat at the moment and took out his third consecutive victory while racing at Fraser Downs on Friday. The 1.56.3 enough to see off the challenges of Thereallkents and Chief Is Boss. The three-year-old has now earned $24,300.
NEW ZEALAND REPLAY
Brad Reid reported on one of the great trotting features on the New Zealand racing calendar last week with the running of the Fred Shaw Memorial at Gr1 level. The feature saw a strong field assembled with the Greg and Nina Hope trained Muscle Mountain proving too good for race rivals, having the ability to sit parked out for much of the event and still having the stamina to power away for a memorable victory. AUSTRALIAN REPLAY
John Dunne covered some amazing action coming in from Bathurst on the weekend with one of the major races on the card being the Group 1 $150,000 Gold Tiara Final. On this running of the feature punters got it right, sending out Bittersweet at short odds with the filly proving far too good – winning by some 20 metres. Bittersweet has now earned over $120’000 from 4 lifetime starts.
